OK, went to the tire shop to have a tire patched. Car has been in "Service TPMS" mode for a few months so I asked if they could reset the sensors. His tool gets a response from all 4 sensors. He followed the procedure, but it would not go into learn mode. Without spending hundreds of dollars what checks can I do to figure out what is wrong? Is there a fuse that could be blown? Any help?

The guy at the tire store said his unit was able to interrogate all four tpms sensors. There is no check engine light - is there a way to pull the RFA codes without a Tech 2?
