Rookie question. I am in my second month of ownership of a '90 Coupe, L98 Auto. I've noticed that the oil temp does not rise at the same rate as the coolant temp. It will eventually reach a "normal" reading, but it takes forever. Is this normal, or is my sending unit begging for replacement? Thanks

Normal. The oil warms up slower than the coolant & will stabilize at a different temp. I have got the oil as hot as 260 -275 with coolant at 230 when autoxing. On occasion when cruising easy on the fwy they will be within 10 degrees.
