CM hitting the rev limiter

hi c4c5, i took my 1993 53,000mi auto all stock vette out for a ride and when i punched it from a stand still it lite up the tires like normal but before the trans shifted into 2nd it hit the rev limiter then shifted is my trans going? what do you think thanks kraz

Honestly to me, I think you had a good hard launch and that's what caused it! : )

Your tires could also be losing grip, thus more wheel spin.

Hitting the limiter is not bad and hitting it on the way up with RPMs is better then bouncing it off the limiter decelerating.
