CM Can HVAC Condensate Drain be accessed from the top?

I have the most of the dash and interior apart for Insulating / Leak search, which BTW I found and fixed. While checking out the HVAC Box I had a crazy idea.

Can I remove the top half of the HVAC air box being it's fully exposed and access the Condensate drain to make sure it's free and clear of debris ?
If so It would be a hell of a lot easier then trying to get to it as most of us have tried accessing it from the firewall.

Have you tried from the engine compartment (top) or from below with the car up? They are really not that hard to reach & give a squeeze.

To answer the question, I don't know, maybe another forum member will, most of us have probably not had the dash apart as far as you have.

Try it?

I tried my A$$ off to get to it from the top. Between my big hands, thick bundled wire harness and the cylinder head I was only able to touch it with my finger tip.

Haven't tried accessing it from under the car while it was in the air.

I'll wait until Paul chimes in and see what he'll have to say !

I would be afraid of damaging something inside, or getting the hanger stuck. I have used a plastic zip tie (non-clasp end) to clear the drain tube.

Short blasts of compressed air has always worked for me.
