I have a 2006 Z06 with approximately 7800 miles on it. Recently I installed HID foglights and they worked fine. About 2 weeks after the install, I got a "Service Active Handling" message on the DIC. The car is always stored inside and usually on a battery tender. I have had the message come on a few times since then, during the day and at night. Voltage never falls below 13.8 and usually stays above 14v. I'm aware of a TSB for this issue but wanted some advice if anyone thinks the HID fogs could have something to do with it. I have taken the car out on a 100 mile drive with the fogs on and it never came on, then took it on a 5 mile drive next day and the message showed up. Car is completely stock except for the new fogs. Is AH that voltage senstive where the fogs could be tripping the system?

I wish my Z06 only had 7800 miles on it! I doubt your issues are related. It's probably just the wires getting stretched in the connector inside the steering wheel. Have you dealership look at it. Can I barrow your car? I'm thinking a nice roadtrip up to NorCal would be perfect?

Thanks for the response Norty. I bought the car 2 years ago with 1300 miles on it. In 2 years I've put 6500 miles on it. I drive it on my days off and it gets put away for the winter. I figure it's probably the connector to the SWPS but it's just odd it started after the HID install. How may miles on your Z? Any issues?

The only issues I've had are~ I'm on my 4th set of tires (16 tires) 2nd set of brake pads (changed @ 42,000) didn't really need to just thought I should since I do trackdays too. Reverse lockout solenoid shorted out 24945 miles roof delamination ( dealership recall/replace)29918 miles "Service A/H" on DIC as the car's right front brake went into impending lockup while I was driving downtown (25mph). I almost took out 2 pedestrians in front of Pizza Port restaurant. Scary as hell, it was as I wasn't expecting that. I CRAWLED to the dealership at 25 mph to get the issue addressed. They afixed some sort of clip (E9464) on the wires in my telescoping steering wheel. No issues since. 18176 miles Bulletin 06-02-35-002B Differential noise @ low speed while turning. 14000 mi Dealer replaced fluid (again), extra additive Roof seperation (adhesive) 5415 mi. Recall 05112 Diff noise 4242 mi dealer replaced fluid All this and 12 oil filters. (I change my oil @ 20% oil life.) I buy 6 at a shot. Still have 4, but I'm about do again. Oh yeah, I bought magnetic drain plugs from my dealership too. They WORK. Glad I kept all my paperwork! EDIT: Bought a battery from Costco for $55 a coupla years ago. In another year, I'll remove it and get a new one for free as it's a 100 month battery...

Nice to see you get to drive your Z. Here in the northeast the the good driving weather is only about 7.5 months out of the year. Once the first cold wave hits my car is in the garage under a cover and on the tender. You CA guys get great driving weather. I'm going to bring my Z in to the dealer and have him check the codes. Hopefully it just requires the clip on the connector. I also had a similar AH activation as you. Scary. Also good to see you haven't had any big issues with your car. Alot of "sky is falling" posts on CF sometimes makes me a little paranoid.

Thanks Froggy. i believe my AH issue is also caused by a bad connection at the SWPS. There is a TSB for mine with a small clip designed to keep the plug tight. I spoke to the service manager and he was aware of the TSB. Says it common and he would check it for me but didn't have the clip in stock. He ordered it and I'm taking my car in this week to have it checked.

I have a 2005 C6 manual, which has the DIC warning Service Active Handling System showing, Once out of 10 occasions as the warning came on the car braked on it's own and pulled to the right. Ive taken it to the garage and when they plug the car into the diagnostic check, it shows no fault detected, They have checked the connection at the SWPS and that's ok. I don't know where to go from here, any suggestions?
