CM Dual Mode Exhaust - Fuse/Control Switch

Just took delivery of my new 2011 Coupe with NPP option. I see where some owners are pulling the fuse or using a remote control switch to control the dual mode exhaust operation.

I found information on the NPP operation that says "the system uses the (ECM), (BCM), (EBCM), EFCM, exhaust flow control valve vacuum solenoid, vacuum reservoir, vacuum lines, 2 exhaust flow control valves and the serial data circuit to perform the system functions".

So my question is: with the apparent complexity of the factory system what negative effects can pulling the fuse or using a switchable controller have? Do either of these "mods" affect the factory warranty? Best to just leave it "stock"?

(I searched the forum and could not find a thread on this issue so if there is one I'll appreciate direction to it.)

Thanks

CM

I pull my fuse (and replace it) depending upon what I'm doing with the car. Been doing this since Feb of 2006, when I got the car. Zero adverse effects because of "pulling the fuse."

Don't be afraid, just do it.

It's the lowermost, bottom right fuse under the passenger floor mat. 10A
