CM AC Problem

Yesterday my AC started ramping up then back down to off. I tried manually ramping the fan to no avail. I tried turning it off then on then auto. It ramps up and down when it wants with no regard to setting. I can turn it down to 60 degrees and it should blow wide open but it doesn't. It does blow ice cold when it blows. Doesn't make sense. Any ideas?

HI there,

Might be a control head or an interior temperature sensor.

Unfortunately, the data would tell much more. Diagnostics without a Tech2 is very difficult.

Allthebest, c4c5

I notice when I apply brakes it ramps up and when I take off it ramps down. Vacuum leak? Loose connection? I recntly put new Faux Carbon Engine covers on it. Is there a line, connection, anything in that area that would cause this?

HI there,

No, its all electrical.

I would say that possibly a loose terminal at a connection may be causing your issue.

C4C5,
When I arrived at the dealer the condition was present...when they rolled it back into the shop the fan returned to normal. They put a Tech II on and there were no codes and all modules reported back normal. They said they were going to replace the fan blower motor. It is their best educated guess. My co-worker thinks it is the fan control module. What are your thoughts?

Update: They replaced the blower motor and I picked it up. The A/C seems to be working fine. If anything changes I will post an update.
