2009 ZO6...I would like to delete the onstar, but keep the bluetooth for my cell phone. What is the correct way to do this?

Hi there,
Bluetooth is within the ONSTAR module.

You cannot have one without the other.

if you do not subscribe to ONSTAR will your bluetooth work ???

Yes, even if the ONSTAR subscription is out, the control module still works.

Its the ONSTAR control module that has the bluetooth.

I heard you can call onstar and when you have it turned off you can request the tracking of information stopped.

GIve onstar a call and have them stop tracking your anonyomous (SP)information..

Thanks as i was asking for my son who has a new cruze with the conductivity package but he will drop onstar when the free period is up.

I'm reading on other forums that removing the fuse might disable ONSTAR. Don't know if this is effective, or not.


No one said anything about losing Bluetooth capability. They were more concerned with "Big Brother" watching their every move....

Just call onstar up and tell them you don't want your anonymous data collected. The company just made an announcement in the past few days that is all that is needed to stop tracking.
