I just recently purchased a 2003 and am having issues with the side mirror. I set the mirrors and seats where I want them, set the memory, but when I unlock the car, the passenger side mirror almost always goes out of adjustment. I only have one key fob, so surely that's not the issue. A couple of times the seats have readjusted, but the mirror is the main culprit. Any ideas?

Lurk means watching the thread. Are you setting both the memory buttons to the same settings? My vehicle does the same thing with the driver seat moving forward and then back, or back and then forward at any given time when I enter. My passenger mirror will also lower at times for no reason when I enter. No pattern to either problem, it can go for weeks with working properly and then act up for two days in a row. With no hard or history codes to support the issues, I have learned to just live with it as I am not one to just throw parts at a guess unless it is really inexpensive to do so. It appears that the modules are getting confused when they are woken up and are not sure what exactly to command. Good luck with yours.

Thanks for telling me what lurk means. I have tried to set them differently and the same, it doesn't seem to matter. Mine is the same way, no pattern. I'm trying to live with it, hopefully we can get somebody to help us with our issues.

See if you have any stored codes. Turn the key to "on", hold down the options button and push the fuel button 4 times and see what codes if any are stored. This may help diagnosis if your problem is constant.

This started happening to mine as well long ago when a body shop replaced my passenger side mirror that they broke. I've never been able to figure out why it doesn't seem to retain its memory settings and I've been wondering if it even is a mirror with the memory capability or not?

The memory locations are tied to the fob that you use to access the car. Look at the back of your fob. There will be a number 1 or 2 on the back of the fob. If you are using fob #1, unlocking the car with that fob will cause memory location #1 to be active and all settings associated with that memory location will be performed. The same is true for fob #2 and the #2 memory location. All of this is also explained in the owners manual.
