CM Oscillating Vibration

I was out driving yesterday and noticed that I was getting a slight vibration thru the steering wheel. At first I thought tire balance but after driving for a while i noticed that it wasn't a consistent vibration but one that seemed to be oscillating. The oscillation didn't seem to change with the speed of the car.

My Vette is a 99 automatic with about 75000miles.

Any ideas?

The place to start is knowing for sure (verified 100%, no doubts) that all 4 tires and wheels are straight and balanced. Normally a vibration thru the steering wheel is a bad tire, wheel, or balance in the front, but all 4 need to be checked. Good luck with it.

I have the same problem on my 2002 Convert. I put 4 new tires on it and at around 78mph it had a slight but noticeable vibration that would oscillate as you say and it felt like it was from the steering wheel and maybe a little could be felt in the seat. 6000 miles later it is worse and now noticeable from 67 through 78 mph. I suspect wheels that are not perfectly round and is amplified by low profile tires. I am going to get new wheels next spring in hopes that they will resolve this issue.

Fronts are Toyo Proxes 4
Rears are BG Goodrich G Force sport

Probably the road, or cold tires.
