CM OE Oil Filter - LS3

Just curious -- the factory Oil Filter on my new LS3 has a label on it that says "Replace with PF48". Is the OE filter not a PF48? Or is label simply instructional? Why does the engine not simply have a PF 48 filter on it that is labeled the same as the replacement I bought at O'Reilly's??

Thanks.

If you have not changed your filter, its normal.

The factory filters are not the same as what we get as far as labeling goes.

Yes, they are both internally identical from what I have been told.
