Question REDUCED ENGINE POWER message on DIC

So, I screwed up and inadvertently left the battery connected over the two weeks that I have had the drive serp belt and all of the pulleys off. Went to go let the car run for a couple of minutes today - just to assist in diagnosing the squeak issues - and I got nothing. CPU read : REDUCED ENGINE POWER ... The battery was drained, so I went and got a new one. She starts now and is registering about 12 v, but still reading "Reduced Engine Power".

Why is this? Is it because the car was started without the pulleys and drive serpentine belt on? Or is it simply a residual message from the battery being drained earlier? Is it because of there being no belt, which causes no activation of the power steering pump or the water pump?

Any ideas? I plan on putting new belts, tensioner assemblies, and pulleys on tomorrow. I am hoping that there will be no more "REDUCED ENGINE OUTPUT".

Any ideas, fellas? So ready to piece this thing back together and head out on the highway... Thanks in advance, folks.

Any codes present? Were any wire connectors removed or disturbed? Check closely all the wire harness's that you were near, especially around the throttle body and air intake areas. Good luck with it.

LLC5: You hit the nail on the head, Sir. I inadvertently left the connection near the throttle body dc'd. Thanks, a bunch for the heads up, Sir.

She is purring again...replaced everything related tot he drive belt system and it is so much quieter. However, now that it is so quiet, I can now hear some squeaking coming from the AC pulleys!!! Hear we go again...
