Nice to see the site up again - and especially nice to see the early Corvttes listed first! What a pleasant surprise for us "dinosaur drivers!"

HI there, We will work hard to make sure it doesnt happen again. And IMO, the early generations were benchmarks for the Corvette we have today and should not be pushed into history without understanding that without them, we would NEVER have what we have now. Altlhebest, c4c5 |

| You can blame me personally for which generation of corvette was on the top of the new forum that was created to continue this corvette service site as this one was lost and in the toilet.

| Either is fine with me, but a forum HAS to have an active person in charge on a daily basis, stuff happens to most forums, servers have hiccups, resets have to be done, domain names renewed, software updated. We (I at least) still don't know what happened to CM for about a week. Not a "blame" thing certainly, but it's like our cars, when they are not maintained and when they get unreliable it's very annoying. I'll hang in both for a while, but really one or the other should prevail just to keep life simpler & focus the time on the more viable forum. :) | ||||||||||||||||||||

With TCM, C4C5 owns the domain, unlike here. On TCM Rob and JB are all over the site behind the scenes running it and we are easily in contact with them. My point is, we just can't have a site go down and not be able to do anything about it again. ![]() Just my 2 cents. I'm not flaming anyone or site here, but we all want to have a site and one that we can count on. And there may be a very good reason as to what happened and why, but I don't know.

Gentlemen, Please be aware I called in a rather large favor and a tremendous amount of technical work was done to create a new site when this specific site went down with little hope of it being fixed. Not only was the work done professionally but it was done extremely quickly along with no costs incurred by anyone here. Thats a selfless act of kindness by the gentleman who created that new site as a favor to me. I explained that I felt this type of technical service being lead by my friend C4C5 specialist was an asset to the entire corvette community and it was my respect of c4C5's noble efforts that drove me to find a permant way for this mission to continue on. I would appreciate the realization of the work involved and the sacrifices that were made and the administators of this site focus towards the unification of both sites into one great site. Now that this site is up and running for whatever amount of time that it has left I could have all the past data moved to a permenant server without fear of losing it again or having to have the pitiful membership drives from members each year....and it can be done a hell of a lot easier with a quick response one way or the other from any one of the administrators here. Please accept my apologies but I really am having difficultly in being laid back. Quite frankly if its not unified I will forever remember the lack of respect of a rather large effort to assist as quickly as possible in a trying time and I'll personally be insulted. Maybe nobody cares about other peoples efforts but I do. Especially since I'm the gentleman who asked the favor of the technical expert to begin with. People who put forth that type of effort and the time that was required may not say anything about their dissatisfaction with now having two sites but I will. When I ask a favor of someone and they come through I don't take it lightly and most importantly I respect them. I ask that you guys do as well. I would be embarassed with anything less. I think all of us here are thankfull for the work that is done behind the scenes to keep the site going. I have always liked the very simple navigation of this site. That said, if it's better for everyone to abandon this for the other, I in. I agree with the others above that there should only be one. Mark
