CM C5 Z06 Stock CD Player Message???

When I turn on power, my radio/cd player display indicates a disc is in the player--there is no disc in the player. Hit the owner's book, found nothing related to this.

Any ideas?

HI there,

Could be an internal switch within the changer.

Disconnect the connectors on the bottom of the unit. Let sit for a few minutes and then reconnect.

See how you do afterwards, c4c5

Maybe I don't understand, but I don't have a changer--Z06 here. Is there a fuse I can pull related to the radio only to cut power and see if it will "re-set?"

Pull out your Owner's Manual and look it up. All fuse info is in there for the underhood fuses as well as the fuse panel under the pass.side footwell.
Read your OM for other valuable information about your car too. I did.
Good luck

HI there,

Ok, what you will have to do is disconnect your negative battery cable for 2 mins then reattach.

If this does not fix the condition, you will most likely need the radio sent out for repair for the disc switch being bad inside the radio.

Allthebest, c4c5

You asked where to find fuse info, so I was referring you to your owners manual for you to locate all the fuse diagrams etc. which is listed therein.....not the issue with the cd player itself. Hope you find the problem.
