With the Vettes put away for the winter guess I am sitting here and thinking too much (and not able to go out and drive to experiment) so here goes; I am a long time Corvette owner but new to the A6 trans (in my 2011 base coupe). So will appreciate answers to the below questions (or direction to a thread that has them). Items I do not see covered in my reading of the owners manual: 1. Owners manual says ok to shift from S to D while the car is moving Are there any restrictions (e.g. - engine RPM or road speed) on shifting from D to S while moving? 2. If okay to shift from D to S while moving will the trans hold the gear it was in while in D or will it downshift upon shifting to S? 3. Okay to use paddles to downshift two gears in quick succession? (e.g. you are in 5th and want to quickly get to 3rd is it okay to blip the paddle twice to get from 5th to 3rd?) How will the trans/engine speed react to that type of driver input? Will the automatic rev matching be able to react quickly enough? Is there any difference on doing this in D as compared to doing it in S mode? 4. When in D does the trans always start in 2nd the same as when in S and not using paddles? 5. Is there a way to select to start out in 1st and then have the trans automatically upshift through the gears or once 1st is selected can you only upshift by using the paddles? Any difference in this in D as compared to in S? Always appreciate getting straight answers on this forum and appreciate the help. Happy New Year to all!

1. ok 2. yes 3. yes. Can't use paddles in D. 4. no, in either D or S the tranny starts in 1st. Only in paddle does it start in 2nd. 5. As previouse answered tranny always starts in first except while in paddle. In paddle you can start in 1st if you upshift the paddle.

| Interesting. Wonder if this can be changed via tuning. Probably not...
