My wife's car is not starting, it sat for a few days and you can turn the key and it cranks. Retrieved the codes and none of them seem to be related to the no start condition. PCM code 2068 is because her fuel gage goes to E when she fills up, but after 50 miles it goes back to registering correctly. RFA codes are related to the TPMS sensors. Door codes (right and left) seem to be battery related, I charged it up overnight. On my 92 I know there are at least three fuses that could prevent it from starting, Is the C5 similar? Any fuses I could check? Since the car sits in the garage it is not practical to have it towed to a shop. Any ideas?

What's your battery voltage, checking it right on the battery posts? I just ask because I take it, it was fine before it sat, then it sat and now a no start.

Battery voltage before the charge was 12v, after 12.1 The battery wasn't down below where it would turn over before the charge. I charged it just because. Battery is less than 2 years old - maybe I should pull it and have it tested to see if the amps are where they should be?

I'm not sure what else to say myself. Pulling the battery would not be a bad idea and is easy and cheap. I wonder if it could be an ignition cylinder issue?

If it cranks okay, it wouldn't seem to be the battery unless it's a very slow crank. I bet it's related to something else. Search your GM service manuals, if you have the set. Something is telling the PCM that you don't have gas, fire or air. Are you sure you have gas in the tank since you're had a gauge reading issue in the past. I bet the problem lies somewhere in the ignition. Also, check to be sure your fuel pump is running and with the correct FP to the fuel rails. It should be around 50lbs when tested at the schrader valve. You may be able to borrow a FP tester at a parts store if you ask nicely! These are my personal opinions based on my own issues and issues of friends in similiar situations with the C5. I'm sure more members will chime in on this. Good luck.

Are you sure about the codes? I don't have a P2068 listed.

OK, took the battery to Autozone and had it charged. Was at 25% now fully charged. Still crank but no start :( OK, so help me out - fuses? Sensors? I've got no new codes :( Yes it has 1/2 to 3/4 of a tank. The gage works from empty to 1 gal from full and is showing closer to 3/4 than 1/2. I need to find my FP gage, I'm sure I bought one to work on the 92.

You had the battery tested? What did it load to? What is the battery voltage during cranking? Do you hear the fuel pump run for 2 seconds when you turn the key to ignition and NOT crank the engine over? When the engine cranks over does it try to start at all, and more importantly does it sound like it has compression, or does it just sound like the starter motor is spinning?

I can't hear anything that frequency, thus the digging out the FP tester. Engine cranks, sounds like it has compression. Reminds me I need to dig out the spark tester as well. If I don't get it running this week I'll have to take the 92 off the trailer (dead engine) and get a bunch of neighbors to help me load her car on the trailer and take it to the shop.

Before you load it on the trailer, have the battery properly load tested first, and check the voltage at the battery terminals during cranking to make sure that the problem is not just a battery or terminal connection problem. Good luck with it.
