After I got home today I realized a sitation on my trash can. We did not seperate the Recyclables all the way and got a bill by the trash police. our neihbor said they saw some bum looking in our trash cans but did not realize it was the garbage police. Crazy, you get fined if it`s not seperated at least 90% recyclabes. I can`t believe it.

I have heard of this, you need to vote out your city council idiots, who are usually responsibe for passing such enviro wacko chit.

Ok, now I think I am close to hearing about everything. Dumpster divers for hire. Nice.

How could they possibly they prove that you were under 90% recyclable, and that it was even your container? Way too many "if's" in that ticket, but in true political fashion I am sure that they have made it a true blue pain in the ass to fight. Good luck with it, hope you can fight it if at all possible.

Talk about a PITA. In a small town north of Boston, i have to seperate the glass,plastic,cardboard and metel throw in my truck and take it to the recycle station myself and it cost me a $100. bucks a year to do it.

Where I live in SoCal you have to put the recyclables out in separate bins.

Every so often, before the Waste Management trucks come, some independent soul will cruise the street & help themselves to all the stuff that has a deposit value CRV on it.

There is maybe a buck of crv in each family's bin (5 cents x 20 cans/bottles) more if someone has a party.

Say it takes 30 sec. to skim a bin, that's 2 bucks a minute or $120 an hour.

Not bad.

I am in the wrong line of work.
