I really would like a new c6 but I have to ask the question how many problems have you guys had with the c6's. For as much money as you have to fork out for a corvette you would think the quality would have to improve. My c5 has has the same old problems everyone else has had when you check the forums. I get tired of fixing stupid stuff. |

HI there, Fact is, there is not an automobile out there that doesnt have problems. Sheesh, people spend 200k on cars and they still have to replace wiper motors, brakes and tires and module. So, be that as it is, your best defense is to know what you are buying and c6 has been better then c5. Allthebest, c4c5 |

All cars have issues... the forums generally help you find them. For instance... inhereted a used 2004 GMC Canyon w/ 14,000 miles a few months back. It seemed perfect to me. Then I joined a forum for the truck... yeah a few weeks later I was at the dealer w/ an issue list 2 pages long to get corrected before the factory warranty goes out. Funny how that works. |

I've got both a '99 Coupe and now the '07 Coupe. Keeping the '99 with its extreme miles on it, in proper condition has not been cheap. But, saying that, I like a car that I can jump into and go across the country if I so wish. So, on the '99 and now at 290K miles, I've been replacing things as they appear. Nothing lasts forever. I've had the usual C-5 problems and most have happened to me long before anyone else. The '07 so far has been a dream to drive and being so new, everything works perfectly. If we were to compare the apples and oranges of yesterday's muscle cars to these vehicles of today, a lot has changed and in most cases, its improved drastically. Do you remember the days of 11 cents a gallon for gas? Well back then too, Corvettes only got like 8-11 Mpg and 20 Mpg was only a dream. My C-5 is running 30-24 Mpg on the highway. The C-6 is seeing 28-30 mpg with the Z51 package. So as c4c5specialist and Cobra4B said, nothing is perfect, but its a lot better than it use to be. |
