Installing a Vortech supercharger on a 2005, Z51, AT, w/headers, hi-flow cats, x-pipe and Borla mufflers. Kit comes with a 160 t-stat. Would a 180 t-stat be better? I live in Biloxi, Ms. where we have pretty hot summers.

HI there, Just remember, the colder thermostats are usually recommended by the supercharger manufacturer. If that is what the recommend, yes, use it. Because this modification of a supercharger produces so much stress on an engine, follow the manufacturers recommendations to the letter. Allthebest, c4c5
